New P&R Forum, created by AGS and GTech?

Haha, this thread went so far off-topic, I don't really remember what it was about...

Oh yeah... A new forum for AGS and GTech to argue... I'll pay the $7 for a domain name

 

If peeps pay me to run it I'll keep it neutral too.

You would not see any people that post almost exclusively in P&R with millions of green blobs versus people that only have one blob purely down to immoral Green Rep Lovin.

 

What if a third party, who is neither a leftist communist or a rightwing nut - but was rather clinically insane - were to create and moderate this forum? That way it would be fair and balanced, with the only requirement being that personal attacks be limited (attacking family attacking children etc etc). I'd seriously like to see the debate, but I tire of the constant ad-hominiem attacking.

Also, each side would get a limited number of posts per thread, and then others could vote on who won . Of course if thats not feasible it would still be fun to read where these come to. I do learn a lot by seeing both sides battle it out when they use logic and not pure and silly attack.

Before I invested cash or anything - I'd run a test on a subdomain just to see how it would pan out. I'd also like to use usergroups and colors, with the lead person of one side with one color, and able to add members, and the lead person of the other side with another color and able to add members - although I would want each group to be even in number. If a third side wishes to join the forum and create a group then hey, it would be even better. Anyone not affiliated could add their contentions and posts aswell, but would be considered unaffiliated with either side unless they said so.

Like it? Hate it? I can have a forum set up in 20 seconds (not literally, but just about as fast).

 

Great idea... The only thing I don't like, is the limited posts per thread idea... What if you get into a great discussion, then it just ends...

Other then that, I'm all for it... I'll put my money where my mouth is, I already said I'd chip in the $7 for a domain name...

We'd need to find a truely nuetral person though...

And the groups idea; great... is it possible? how would it be structured? "lefties", "righties", and "centrists"?

 

Well hey, I'm building the forum now. I don't think I'll do a post limit and the members can help develop it.

Basic forum installation is done. Now I just gotta set 'er up.

I'm taking a break for a while. Scanning the topics on page one, it seems like the safe things you can do here now are talk about how much America sucks and how great it is that Ron Paul would never defend America. That works great for many here, but not much of an option for others.

If enough people want to I'm happy to create a P&R forum on my board? I don't have much time to get involved with posting nowadays, but they're still fun to read.

 

Well I think I pretty much have it down now. I included two areas for controversial topics, and of course, one on one slugfests. If it works, it works, if it doesn't all I wasted was a subdomain and a couple of hours of work.

 

Looks neat, I like how fast it was loading...

Now we just need to move the people from here to there...

 

It's a great forum get over and reg guys!

The rules need to be loosened there though Jackuul, if it's going to be a "namby pamby fest" we might as well just post here.

It should be a place not for the faint hearted, where pretty much anything goes.

I'm hoping my buddies Briant, Britishguy, Guerilla, telsa, earlpearl, MattUK and co. will register.

And we need anthonycea there along with GTech and his posse.
