if this is in the wrong section - sorry at the moment we have a domain name, and a site setup already selling zippo lighters using joomla. The site is run with help from the missus. She would like to start her own blog using wordpress completely seperate from our store. We will by a new domain name and use that but here are the problems, we use godaddy for our zippo domain name but have read godaddy is not really good for wordpress? What other alternatives are there? Is there a DP member that is a webhost that can install and setup wordpress for us and what costs are involved please or is it ok to go with a webhost advertised on wordpress.com We both have no knowledge of wordpress but are willing to learn i hope that this makes sense
wordpress installations can be done from by a one click installation form control panel or can install manually very easily. there are shared hosting sellers here in Dp (who all can do free installations). But make sure you dont go for unlimited offers.

well unlimited as in (unlimited space and unlimited bandwidth/transfer). those who offer such most times seem to go offline easily and are just resellers with no own servers. $10/month? I would say go for knownhost.com's shared hosting $5/month and cpanel/fantastico fantastico = easy 1 click wordpress install. KH has VERY good support. they help you with everything and super FAST support for both tech and support (well sales contact is 1 min slower)! Plus if your budget is $10, you can start off with $5, and upgrade to higher packages later on but I doubt you'll need it now with a wordpress!
