I don't know what's wrong with my computer when I was running Opera 9.5 for a while then my screen be hard to refresh on opera bowser window. was it because my PC spec is too low for Opera 9.5 or this is a bug of Opera 9.5?

Opera is very cool. The only problem is the spell check feature.

Dam the browser is fast. I've been using it for a few minutes and can't believe how fast it is.

Just a side note. Always search google using the browser's top right corner search box. Every time you search using that box opera gets cash from google.

Today 17th is Firefox download day...

I see that Firefox 3 is now available. I'm not going to download it as I want to make sure all the addons are up to date with the new version, but when I do I'm going to give it ago.

I've been using the new Opera for the last few days now, and if version 3 of FF shows no improvement on 2, then I'm going to switch over.

Damn - wish they had the Web Developer toolbar for Opera though. I couldn't get by without that.

Do you guys notice about the "speed dialing" function that the browser has? I think this one is totally new feature ever introduced. In fact the first idea about tabbed browsing actually came out from opera and not FF or IE that you think

Opera has always been faster than Mozilla FireFox for quite some time.
To keep FireFox competitively fast, you have to tweak it's about:config settings..

But now leads the question for you when choosing a browser:
    Open Source or Freeware?

I choose Open Source, and thus FireFox for now...
FireFox I believe has a lot more suitable plugins as well..

EDIT: Hm, it appears that Opera is now released under the BSD license which is just as good..?
I am definitely considering changing over to Opera now.

Hello everyone, I have been using Opera for some years now and it is great to hear other people are turning to it as well.

In the past people have always preferred FF for some reason. Maybe due to their marketing campaign.

I have used Opera since I had 56K Internet due to the fact that it didn't reload the page when you pressed back. This was always annoying in IE as with 56K loading a page took quite a while. Opera solved this by simply not reloading the page :)

The best bits I find are the wand tool and the simple "paste and go" option when you paste a url into the address bar. The bookmarks search feature is great too!

There were a few small issues with some sites not working 100% but a lot of this is fixed in 9.5

Hopefully more people will be switching in future.

I use Opera over almost 8 years. And Opera 9.27 is much better then 9.50
I am waiting however 9.5x for full potential.

JCE WYSIWYG editor dont work in 9.5, new skin is ugly, they removed idea of left panel showin on click on left side, and it still not good in Vista. Yes i can bring back all that except JCE compatibilty for 5 seconds, which i did. Its still at least 2x better then Firefox and god knows how much then IE.

Opera was my browser of choice for many years (since version 6.0). Many times I wondered why people would even use other browsers because Opera was just so much better and back in the day of dialup connection it made all the difference.

Currently I only use Firefox because it has many useful extensions and the spell check feature is simply amazing. Opera should improve those two areas to get me using it again.
