I hope this is the correct section for this. It's for directories...so, it seemed to be the best match. Many of you know about the web directory form filler extension for Firefox. Some of you probably also know about the recent major version upgrade to it. It took longer than I had hoped to get done, but the online demo is now available. You can check it out here. Any questions, comments, problems you may spot with the demo, or anything else, just let me know.
Chris when i click on your given link for demo then i get message 'The page cannot be found' I found mistake You have to give this url which is correct url
It's very similar to RoboForm as far as core functionality (just the actual form filling aspect), except that it is designed specifically for web directory submission, and therefore offers a lot of features for it that RoboForm does not. These include all fields needed for submission conveniently available, including complete deep link support; very useful directory/submission management via the sidebar with 2 modes of operation (one most convenient when submitting multiple profiles to one site and the other most convenient when submitting one profile to many sites); and many features that are very useful for web directory submission, such as title rotation (for main title as well as deep links), actual deep link rotation (so that the same deep links are not always used on forms that have less fields than you have deep links setup), and a lot more. There are a number of convenient features, such as profile/site categorization so that profiles can be filtered to show only profiles that apply for that site, sorting methods, and a feature to find the current site in your list (for those of us with a long list of sites). Anyway, a lot to say and a lot more could be said. If you have any specific questions, just let me know...
chris, when I submitted to directory with deep links, but I select regular listing without deep links, data sent to the directory include the deep links. This happen to me few times, ask terryuk and creed. Is there any way to solve this because I don't want directory owner think I'm trying to cheat by submitting deep links but choose regular price without deep links.
This does not happen with the current version of Rob's MOD. If it happens on others, it's only because it is really there, and just not visible. I can look into detecting the visibility.
Is there a trial version available? If I come across a directory that offers 10 deep links, will this extension auto-fill all of them, even though I have never visited the directory previously?
No. There's not a good way to do a trial for the extension. That's why I spent so much time on the demo.
Nice demo. PS: Chris, would you mind checking your PM box please? I've sent you PM on the last 20th and still is unread.
