I'm preparing to build a site. I don't know squat. Have Dreamweaver MX & a stack of Dummie books. What is a reliable web building site? Something along the lines of Web.com (Do it yourself.) Looking for something that has layouts, graphics, a calendar so clients can book reservations, forms of pymt - Visa ect, email capabilities for clients, domain names and access, something relatively hack-proof. The alpha & omega. What is an average monthy cost for a web host? Of course, speed & compatibility are priorities also. Can anyone take the time to school me? Regards, Tim.

you sound like me 6 months ago... I probably did it the hard way but I just started using joomla and through their message board and relentless pursuit of knowledge taught myself html and css. With that and all of the open source projects they have there you should be able to do just about anything you want. But if you dont know anything about this then do not expect to learn it quickly. It is definately a process. You can PM me if youre looking to hire a freelancer.

    Hello, bichieredivino.

Just to begin to receive help, you need to say more about your intentions. What kind of site: commercial, personal, community, non-profit? What? What is your budget? By giving some details, you allow interested people to give you some advice. Otherwise, your question is a too general one.

Why don't u hire someone to do it or guide u along? Hosting depends.. u got to search around.. u might get unreliable one along the way.. but eventually u will find good and stable one..

    cheers and good luck!
