I have seen this in several forums like Digitalpoint and Webhostingtalk, people are curious about the master reseller panel Mellowhost is using. Its fully created by us and here are the few reasons why its better than the Deasoft's master reseller panel: 1. It uses PHP Curl to process the requests, while Deasoft uses CGI resource healthy script to process requests. Thats why, my script utilizes less cpu resources. 2. This script is integrated with WHMCS, if you are using WHMCS, then it can easily fetch the data from your WHMCS Database table and add the master reseller control panel permission. 3. Two most interactive thing is, It uses Ajax to process the requests, so its faster than the queue processing of deasoft and it has a load controlling thing. Sometimes, if your server is overloaded for log spool processing or exim spool processing, and someone tries to create a new reseller account, it will usually fail to give the Access List permission. Thats why this load control system won't let your user to create reseller account under high load. This eventually do the same for "suspend" and "terminate" reseller option. 4. If you are using multiple servers for your hosting service, then you have to purchase multiple licenses from deasoft, but with this panel, you can simply use one control panel to serve all servers. It will take all credentials from your WHMCS database. 5. One most common thing inside my Master reseller is, its more simpler and easy to explain comparing with the deasoft panel. Deasoft's panel is more clumsy to look at. Cons according to my sense: 1. One common issue my clients have asked me is about the backup/restore system. Its actually very easy to install this module as cpanel has already a built in script to restore reseller accounts from another server. But one common reason of not using this module is, it would create huge load on the server if someone trying to copy like 200 accounts at a time. So its always better to do this from the "Admin" side so that he/she can monitor the load and do the needful. 2. Quota System, its actually the cpanel fault who haven't implemented api to change reseller quota yet My script actually utilizes the same technique whmcs does. If you have taken a very close look, you should know, whmcs can't specify the reseller quota perfectly on automatic account creation. And when the user is over quota, an automated suspension is also a bit critical to build as this will eventually cause lots of cpu spikes. Though, if you are an unmetered provider, then most probably the best way is actually to use mellowhost's master reseller panel as in most cases, it will definitely beat deasoft's panel Now the question, what else you people want to see in this panel, i will most probably be opening a sale for this master reseller panel after the first week of June. May be you guys want to see some more thing in the panel I will post a few screenshot soon
You should let some people try it out, so we know what its like here. I would like to try it out, if I can.
Yes, there will a at least 2 weeks trials once i made the licensing system. You can install it in your system then and integrate it with your WHMCS So, no worries about that You meant allowing your master resellers to create private nameservers?
yes and a menu for modify resellers (space and bw quota) on each sub-resellers after if will be created. to enabled upgrades on a account. this is a great Master Panel
Using cpanel api, you can't really do the custom NS. You have to do this manually. Moreover controlling the IP delegation is not even possible with the Cpanel api Yes, modification of space and bandwidth is possible, but as i said, You have to monitor your resellers space and bandwidth as in api, controlling reseller Space and Bandwidth under Cpanel quota not possible yet. Hope, they will implement this very soon But definitely, with a few calculation, its possible to show you from your master reseller admin panel. Thanks for your suggestion. Keep more coming.
