Hi there, I recently put up a lyrics website. You can see it online here: http://www.got-lyrics.net . The site features nearly 200,000 lyrics in it's database. For each of the songs, it also attempts to pull the video from YouTube to embed directly onto the page. (You can also specify which YouTube video it embeds per song, or it searches for "[Artist] - [Title] full song" and embeds the first result). Also includes video reporting, print lyrics, tell a friend, submit, request, contact, a full-functioning search feature, popular search terms on index and much more! Minor on-page SEO work and tweaking is still required, but for the most part the website is completed. The site also needs a lot of link-building and so-on obviously, but that will come in time!
keep the top header color blue, red. or keep logo color as blue or red, with sparkles, with that the entire site will glow. its neat though, also good database.
I agree about the gray color, looks a bit "disabled" i would try gray with black also depending on resolution the youtube video overlaps much of the text and looks out of place a bit when/if my browser is maximized. maybe have a placeholder for the vid that fits ? - seems there is enough place beside the lyrics. good start though - nice and clean!

yeah id make the font colour a bit darker, and and inject soem more colour here and there. aprt from that its looking good layout wise
Looks good, simple. I just don't like the color combination, change it to a brighter one. I could barely read your logo. Good luck!
