New Logo Design

Hey, I was pretty bored last night, so I decided to make a logo for my portfolio site that I'm going to be opening soon. The flames were made with the pen tool and put over the text. Tell me what you think of it!:

The white "A" should shadow the orange one just like the white "X"

 

The banner looks pretty cool, the text looks great and I like the the fire you added above the A. I would get rid off the white background though.

 

Better save as 24-bit png transparency format than use gif with white background or transparency gif

Thanks everyone for your feedback. It's actually the best logo I've ever made I think. I had a little tutoring and inspiration over MSN by one of my friends, and his tips actually worked. I'll be making more.

looks good, not sure whats up with the white backing though, looks kinda strange

 

The white background is just because I saved it with transparency as a .GIF file. A .PNG file doesn't have a white background.

Oh i see, yeah Gif is not too friendly to shadows and other similar effects in transparent state. Nice job though

 

Nicely done, keep it up ..although as many of you guys said, need to fix the "white" A
