Actually, I made 18 logo's for you. That's including concepts and the many revisions you asked of me. So don't talk to me about 'effort', either. If you liked my logo enough, you could of bought it and had it revised if necessary - end of story. You lose. I'm outta here before I do take it to heart. Regards, Pete
Thanks alot pc_user. If you want to send a PM my way with a e-mail address that I can e-mail the files to. That would be great. Also, thanks alot to everyone else who participated. It was a good competition, and I had alot of fun along the way. Regards, - Nick
my take on the revision thing is this... As this is a competition it is OK to ask ppl todo revisions. its basically pointing them out. " hey this is cool but not 100% what Im going for, if you do this it is more on the lines of what Im going for.. its NORMAL! I dont know how many web designs I start before actually nailing one that is what my client wants, sometimes Im spot on, sometimes I make only 1 revision and sometimes 10.. Its the nature of creative work.. not happy? dont do creatives, you are only going to be dissapointed. Ultimatly it is the Client that you want happy, not yourself.. remember that always... in competitions it is on your own free will to enter the jungle.. not happy? dont enter. PERiFuc***Od.
Congratulations Pixel Dynamics, nice work! Some great designers and fierce competition in the contest! "inkstar" you have some sound advice!!! As for my take on the revision thing, and on the contest rules in general: There are no rules… lol.. There is only a Judge (the contest holder) and what they deem fit for their contest is what the contesters will have to adhere too. It may not seam fair at times, it may not be what another might do! But that’s the way it is. If you can’t handle the heat, stay out of the kitchen! It is their contest and their dime.. I actually think it might be easier on the contestant side of this gig.. Put yourself in their place. It would not be easy, to have to look at all the magnificent designs and only pick one prize apple.
Thanks for all the comments all. I guess at the end of the day, people still forget that the customer is right. I do appreciate the one comment though which I will incorporate into future jobs. My feedback is voluntary and doing so is only meant to help, you are in no way required to submit revisions whatsoever. Thanks again all, great work people!
