I have recently aquired some new text links in which I have used anchor text Now when doing a search for the anchor keyword or phrase Im seeing the website I placed the link on come up in the search on google. Does anyone know why this is so ?
Yups .. this is one of the se's factor !! get more links and u will get ranked as they all will be pointed to your domain !!
do you think its very easy to get to the top? you need to work constantly on it and also you cannot see an abrupt change. It takes some time for google to analyze your sites. Just give some time and also you need to work constantly as every day many are doing the same.
Work hard and get more quality links pointing to your website. Your website will definitely come back. All the best.
I think i may not have explained this correctly for example I placed a link on a website called zootfunkyfaces the anchor text is Childrens Playpens the url attached to the anchor text is directed to my site Now when I do a google for Childrens Playpens the SERPS bring up zootfunkyfaces on page 1 so the SE is picking up the text in the link not the url ?? this has occured on about 5 sites I have placed a link on and the sites are low PR 1 2 or 3 so I have somehow put the websites I have links on on page 1 and 2 for the anchor text search phrase I am using. can anyone explain this ?
This is not an uncommon occurrence. I have some keywords listed in directory links where both my website and several of those directories come up on page #1 for my keywords. Apparently my keywords are being counted by the SE's as "text content" on their page. But the link with its anchor text is certainly counting towards my page as well. Just keep building up your page with content and anchor-texted links to it, and you'll see your page gradually creep up to and, hopefully, ahead of those directories on which you are listed. Even now, though, if someone clicks on the directory listed ahead of you for your keyword, very likely the surfer will click once more on the directory link that comes up pointing to you, and it will bring them to your webpage.
