I am trying to gauge interest in a new site that will make it very easy to get links to your site from other websites. The service is LinkGym.com. If you are interested in trying out the service, please sign up with your email and we will notify you when it's ready. We are hoping to launch our beta in a month or so. The basic idea is that you will submit your link and in return you will get a widget of 5 to 10 other links to display on your own site. Our algorithm will ensure all links get an equal number of page views and are linked from an equal number of sites. Let me know what you think, and please sign up to be notified! thanks! http://www.linkgym.com/
I welcome you all to get the back link from my website. http://i-data-recovery.com .leave a comment with your signature link to your page.. but only related comment will be approved. TQ
Hi nicm0 - The idea is that rather than google banning those who use it, this would be a completely legitimate and transparent way to have sites link to you. No more link farms or hidden tricks, just a little box on your site with links to other quality sites. Footprint would be minimal - just a bit of embed code which can be easily crawled by search engine spiders.
It's a dangerous idea. It was popular in Russian internet in 2004-2005. SEO community called such services linkators. The idea was automatic backlinks exchange. Searchengines could easily find all sites in linkators because they linked to each other. Eventually. many sites were penalized those days. All linkators were closed in 2005-2006.
i can imagine this sort of service being a good idea for a short amount of time. as others have said, it's probably going to result in some banning because you're effectively gaming the system in an obvious way - unless of course you nofollow all the links, in which case your product just changed completely!
Thanks, T-34 - that's very interesting. I had not heard of linkators. But our plan is not to have every site linked to every other site, but rather a small widget with about 10 links. The links in the widget may change over time to produce an even distribution amongst all users. Really this is more like a blogroll, but with links to a selection of sites submitted by other LinkGym users. Do search engines penalize sites that have a blogroll? http://www.linkgym.com
Linkgym, I described the situation as it was. You create a linked ring. Basically it looks like this: So, searchengines can easily find all websites of the ring (there will be blocks of rings in your case) and penalize them all at once. It is just how it happened a few years ago in Runet. It is out-of-date solution. To be honest TLA methods are much more safe because links are non-reciprocal there.
