    Hi,

I have spend a lot of time developing a link directory for link traders the last couple of month, and it seems to be ready for launch now. The directory does actually not have any directly relation to any sites listed ind the directory, but is more like a classifieds system that check for reciprocal links and PR drop between trading partners, and notify each part if link is removed etc..

I hope that the service will be a usefull tool for link trading in general, but I'm also eager to get some feedback:

    * Is the purpose of the site obvious or should there be spend more time explaning the concept?
    * Is there any need for such a script?
    * Any bugs or security issues?

    The site is 2-exchange.com

(I'll approve sites manually the next week or so, so you don't have to setup a reciprocal link to the site to be approved)

    Thanks for any feedback

Thank you very much funseeker, I'm glad to hear that.

My goal has also been to try and eliminate all the commercial "thinking" and "just" try and provide a usefull service. I my self think the main advantages is that there is no direct link between the service and the sites, so if the service should be blacklisted at some point it don't affects the sites in the directory. And second there are no suspect script to install or implement on the sites.

You were the first feed back I got, so that's a pretty good one :)

Aren't these linking tools against googles rules. I mean I heard google penalizes for any kind of backlinks not generated in a natural way.

Hi BlackMamba88, the service works as follows:

    - You can list your site, as a site seeking link exchange partners in a specifik category/niche, so i guess that's not a problem. All information about you site except URL and e-mail is visible for google or visitor.
    - If then a webmaster think that your site looks like a very obvious link trade, because of niche, PR, keywords etc. he will apply you for a link trade. You can then review his URL and his Reciprocal URL and either reject or approve the link trade request.
    - If you approve you should manually implement the link to his site and visa versa. And the system verifies that the links i implemented correct on both sides.

The only thing the service actually do is:
    - On daily basis it goes through you partners Reciprocal URL to find a link back to you, if it does not find a link back, you will get an email notice, the same happens if his Reciprocal URL's PageRank falls below 0, and so on. So, you still manually remove or setup links to your partners site. The service is actually just a big timesaver that does not do anything, you would'nt do anyway by your self.

So regarding to Google rules, I can't see how the service in any could be violating them. But, if it somehow one day should happen that Google would consider the service as a violater, there is no trace from the service to the sites listed in the directory.
