Confused about my comment? Toshiba has fanning problems because they are located on the BOTTOM of the laptop.. which collects dust and blocks the fan (which prevents it from working properly. The macbook DOES not have a fan on the bottom, it's very quiet and discreet! GOOD choice on the macbook! Not sure about the core duo / turion though..
C2D is better than Turion. If you have decided to wait, then you might get Core2Duo on Santa Rosa platform. Its the best in class for laptop processors. Boosts of a powerful 800 Mhz FSB @ 2.2 Ghz clock speed (T7500). I have heard Apple are coming up with C2D Santa Rosa soon.
well i have a toshiba satellite pro p100-465... not had any problems!! with specs like 17 inch screen, core 2 duo 2ghz, 2gb ram, 512mb nvidia video, and a huge hard drive, i cant complain!!! only downside is battery life is only an hour or two. no overheating problems, has two fans, which only turn on when they need to.
Sure. I think now I should ask my friends also to buy a Mac. What if its a very boring day and I feel like chatting
i saw what you all say, but what about this one MacBook Pro 17" brand new sealed in box,, local pickup available in Miami. the laptop is form Apple. http://www.apple.com/macbookpro/ in this link you will be able to see the specs and to buy it if you are interest this is my store http://www.bestforbuy.ecrater.com
if you have anyone in the US comming, that is about the best way... With your budget, I'd suggest an ACER. They sell linux versions without the cost of a VISTA.. Most of the other brands comes loaded with a Vista.. If you don't travel much, battery life is not something u should be worried about. The biggest mistake I ever did was buy a very less loaded HIGHLY expensive Toshiba... Can't even sell it.
toshiba laptops are much of then, expensive when they are new in year and cheap when the years take over. you shouldn't get a toshiba , HP are better system. but not a such upgrade
