Does anyone know of a 14"+ laptop that comes with XP (Home or Pro)? Preferably under AUD $900.

Because it's not for me. I won't have physical access to it, so it needs to have XP recovery discs/partition etc...

I bought an Eee PC 901 a few months ago (for myself) that has XP, it's a pity ASUS don't make full size laptops with XP too.

    It doesn't matter why :)

You can try Toshiba Satellite A305-S6825, it is really a very good one, though it also comes with vista, yet you can change the OS by using the recovery disc.

BTW, you can find the configuration of this laptop here

Well, I have heard that some laptops come without any operating system and you can load any of your choice.:)

I think this facility is also in Dell ! :D

I made the purchase 3 days ago (on behalf of someone else). Includes Vista and XP downgrade on disc.
The end user is happy :)
