New Kind of Commission Leak!

I 've just discovered new kind of commission leak with one of the vendor... am promoting. The vendor has an opt in form before proceeding to clickbank order form. After waiting for about 40 to 50 seconds, a pop up appeared offering the upsell product for the price of basic version ....and when i clicked on that link to proceed to order form i couldn't find my affiliate id at the bottom. Definitely 60% of the customers are going to think of which email address they should fill in the opt in form......and the vendor will get full commission on those sales!

What a waste of time & energy.......phew :(....if only I could've discovered this leak before. So my advice to affiliates here...thoroughly check each and every page before you decide promoting the product.

You should spit out the name of the product here so others won't get burned. Or at least PM the ones interested....I know I am;)

I avoid any vendors who talk about residual income from "upselling" products, and other bonus'. You did great by investigating. Some vendors will have pop ups like you noticed, and will still have your affiliate id coded in, but some of these rats are shady SOB's, selling crap - and the make less than you might.

Its hard finding reputable CB products. I rarely waste domains on them. Getting a portfolio, and going to large companies directly is the best way to be an affiliate. On CB you have to worry about the vendor, and site shaving you.

This isnt a new form of leak lol. Don't try to be a whistle blower, list the URL and let the public decide.

Once again you should never promote a program until you follow the sales process through for yourself.

    Hi all,

Just checked back the forum. Yes, it's one of the cure gout products...vendor: gout01.

You can check for yourself, a popup (timer set to 3 minutes) appears offering the upsell version for basic price..on the opt-in form page proceeding to Clickbank order form....and when clicked you can see your affiliate id ripped off

Yep, as others have said make sure it is not your computer that is causing this! As sometimes Spybot S&D and a few others can strip your affiliate link.

tested it today and my link was there. Only tested it because you mentions spybot s&d and I have that running on my pc - wanted to make sure it was not causing issues.
