New Kid In Town - *Really* turned off by all the 'rules'

Hi, everybody. I'm new here to this forum. I came via some friends who post on the content writing boards. I signed up for my account tonight and I gotta say...all these 'rules' regarding when you can post and where are a real turn off.

I think it's excessive that you have to be a member for two weeks in order to get 'posting rights' in certain forums...or to even have a 'signature' for Pete's sake.

I understand the drama that sometimes may ensue on message boards, but there's gotta be a better way of keeping the riff raff out and attracting quality people.

 

Perhaps...but if you think of it like Xmas, in thirteen more sleeps you'll be able to post.

 

You may feel that way, but fortunately so do many spammers. The rules are there for a reason, especially on a forum of this size.
