Hi. I'm running this help site, with guides to the online browser game Travian.com. The site is getting nearly 100 unique visitors per day and is 1 year old. It gets 60% of its traffic from Google and 20% is direct. I have been running Google Adsense and Kontera, but I guess I made max. 20-30$ in the whole time. I need isn't a high paying niche, but I would like to hear some advices from you guys. Are there any good affilite programs related to Travian or browser based game in anyway? - Or other ways of income opportunities. Thanks in advance.
I used to run an online game, Absolute III and most of my income comes from the advertisement. You can try to sell advertisement slots to companies that could sell their products / services through your site. Most importantly, have you start collecting the list of people that visited your site? You can further leverage this list of people in future
Yes, start collecting a list. Then create a good product for Travian. I've heard that wow guides sell pretty well, and you can try creating one for Travian and promoting it. Good luck
You put an opt-in on your page and collect your visitors emails. Opt-in basically means that there is a part of your website where they can leave their email and subscribe for your newsletter. As they start subscribing you'll have what we call a "list of subscribers" or simply a "list". Then you send them weekly or monthly newsletters and after you've established trust, you can start marketing your products/services to them.
