New Hostgator VPS - but how is 31% of disk used up?

Just signed up with Hostgator, $19/mo deal.

Any help? Please!!!

1. 10gig space. Panel says 31% used. WTF! Is this normal?

2. Can't set new nameserver at Godaddy. Says "Nameserver not registered" when I try to set new nameserver for domain.

3. How do I ftp, create email accounts, etc. with this Parallel Power Panel?

I'm such a noob, so please help!

 

The 31 percent would be your operating system and the file that your using to your vps and countrol panel

check the Parallel Power Panel it should be their under domain or account

if you want our own nameserver talk to hostgator about that and you need to make the nameserver under godaddy setting

 

I believe that is %% of whole server usage but better contact them directly and specify that

 

check the error log... it might take up lots of space. When your website generate errors, it will be written to the log. i can grows to GB of space. we experience this before, annoying.

 

Its your OS and control panel mostly these stuff do take lot of initial space..

 

With the VPS you must register your private nameservers to point to your IP before assigning the nameservers to your domain.
