New Host - Need Help With Backup System on Dedicated Server

I recently moved from one host to another for my server. I am presently with theplanet com. Unknowingly, I moved everything before realizing that my new host doesn't really offer a managed backup system.

I have about 20 sites all with MySQL databases that I want backed up daily. I have included with my server DiskSynk for 2 GB.

I had someone else set it up for me since I am not a server pro at all. I just asked my host to review my setup and they tell me I have no daily backup routines set up although the guy I hired says I do.

I am really really nervous about this and am needing to find someone to help me set up a backup system that I wil lhave no worries about. It needs to be "restore for dummies".

    Where do I begin?

Check your cronjobs/tabs to verify if any backup scripts are running

Also what control panel are you using? I assume Cpanel?

You should be able to configure the WHM section " Backup configure " to upload to an FTP server,
purchase some hosting/backup space from someone ;)

    Best Regards,

I might be wrong, but I think TP does offer off-server backup plan. Check with them again. Otherwise, you might want to signup an external backup solution likes bqbackup.com. Do you have any control panel on your server?
