    Hey all,

I own a collection company in California. Originally came on here because a friend told me that I could solve some of my data entry/datamining woes using some folks on here, i.e. get some good help for not that much, as opposed to hiring crap help for way more than it's worth...

But ... need to get up to 25 posts to post job offers or whatever and .. well, I kinda thought I was computer literate more or less, until I came to this site, and as I was looking over the various topics seeing where I might be able to post something, I realized that I have not 18/1,000,000ths of a frickin clue what he hell most of this stuff means...Christ on a rope, there's alot of stuff here.

That said, I think my business could benefit from things like a better webpage (my current webpage was made by this girl I know whose like an ex-drug addict who went to web design school for like 2 months and built it for me for like $200), search engine otimization, and etc.

Don't know what I can contribute so I'll just start out by saying a little bit about me and what I may be good at:

I got two degrees in philsophy and english, and am educated in law, specifically debt collections, and enforcement of debts.

I played poker professionally for a few years, so if you're wondering if your any good at poker, I am here to tell you that you probly arent... (okay, maybe you are, I dunno, most people aren't great, by today's standards anyway, which are very high)

Ive published articles on constitutional law, done political blogs, been published on american thinker, and in investors business daily and written some stories... I dunno. Blahblah.. can't think of anything else wonderful about me...Love to drink, don't do it anymore, got lots of stories about it....etc.

Looking to learn and contribute, and get up to 25 damn posts so I can outsource some of this work I have here in my office...

Good to be here, nice to meet yall, etc.

Welcome to the forum, Rich... I'm a poker pro here in Vegas and web developer full-time. I agree with what you said about poker. I also went to law school. Sounds like we have a lot in common. Good luck with your time here!

Ahhhh.... yeah, theres not as much money in law as there is in ... well, pretty much anything at the moment, here in CA -- i have buddies who are lawyers who are coming to me looking for work, and for mentorship in my business.. (it's something lawyers can do)

Poker pro in vegas eh? Ha. I was just remeniscing with one of my buddies now about how the games used to be versus now... hows the akshun in vegas?

I play mostly PLO, because PLO is way cooler and sexier than holdem, and its statistically proven that PLO players get laid 4.63 times more than holdem players....true story...
