I think the colours OK, thats always a personal thing. The site has the feel of Gumtree and thats important. You could get away with a banner at the bottom to give a little more colour.

 

you mean an ad banner or heighten the footer bar?

 

I was thinking of an add banner. You are usually allowed 3 sets of google ads.

 

oh right, could do i guess but it's already quite crowded. was thinking on switching all ads units to image instead of text, what do you think?

 

That would add some colour to the page. You could also mix text and images.

 

yeh i have got text and image ad, but is only shows text

 

I have text and image on mine and they rotate. I dont think you need to be too concerned about page size as people are used to scrolling down.
