while i was searching on Google for certain keywords in noticed that the URL Google.com was redirected to https://encrypted.google.com/webhp?hl=en --- there is a word encrypted in the URL. Is this a new update or some redirecting work by Google.
Well it says it is a beta site from google, so i think they are trying to make a new search eninge (new as-in haveing an SLL connection to search the web sercurly) which i think is pritty cool so i bookmarked it
I open up the link and also another tab with the classic google search with keyword "laser pointer", I dont see any difference except the link on top LH disappears - Web, Images, etc
I've known this for a while. It uses https:// so basically the same principle when you're using other sites that accept payments.
Thanks for sharing this information philvault. I also heard that htts:// is basically for security of the sites. generally i have seen this with some finance sites.
