Get home from work, and this is what I see when I turn IE on Take note, the computer was never restarted etc either
Ya , I noticed too . Some really nice changes , and I also noticed that it now shows Pagerank for dynamic pages that are part of a ranked page and subdomains differently . Like dynamic pages of adwords.google.com and others will show the pagerank of the subdomain , 10/10 . It might be a glitch , but I've seen it on other sites too , dynamic pages will show Pagerank score instead of the usual 0. I also noticed additional backlinks in google link: command , so it's a part of a bigger update I guess . The bookmarks feature is rather nice, and allows you to import all your bookmarks from IE .
I've upgraded mine. It's good to see the right click menu coming to play. They have added a couple of useful features. Anyone tried the recently added buttons for G's toolbar? Computer(jew) I don't see the same PR for DP's pages.
Mine also auto updated. I did not like some of the new buttons and like things neat and tidy so I removed them. Shut down, re-booted. Then something else happened. My Google toolbar moved to the right of the address bar. I could not see the buttons I wanted to see. Buy locking the toolbar then dragging it I was able to put the toolbar back where it was below the address bar like I prefer. Something else happened. When I go up to View then down to ‘toolbars’ the box is now checked next to yahoo and blank next to Google. Its reversed. If I uncheck yahoo, Google goes away. If I check Google, the yahoo toolbar shows up.
Uninstall the Yahoo Toolbar and then reinstall it. I had this happen previously with the MSN Toolbar.
Anyone else noticed that the Google toolbar is blocking legitimate pop ups. IE: target=_blank, new windows and windows opened by user initiated actions (such as 'view larger image' links on ecommerce sites). This is bad news.
Well, I'm not going to use it from now on. But I'm more concerned with the numbers of people who do use it. Surely, Google knows that if a user clicks a link and it opens in a new window that is a far different thing from a pop-up initiated by the page loading or unloading or whatever?
It is wrong but google must be trying to keep a step ahead, its possible to move the mouse and automatically click on a link with certain languages (Like active x, not sure about javascript). I still dont like the idea of this though, I regularly use target=_blank when im interlinking with some of my websites and external links.
Are you sure that it's Google toolbar that's blocking legitimate pop-ups? I have the pop-up blocker enabled and I don't see anything like that at all. Perhaps you need to check & fix your internet explorer's privacy > pop-up blocker settings.
