We used to rank #3 for "New Jersey Web Design" and recently got bumped down to #31. Seems like the results that replaced us are web designer directories which are spammed with keywords... then you have the sites which make no sense to be there such at Rutgers University Homepage, Stevens Tech Homepage, Locate a Diner to eat website, etc... Anyone notice the SERP results have gone bonkers?
My traffic has doubled in the last 3 days.I was (and still am) ranking betwwen 1 and 6 in all major SE's for my main keywords and now my other keywords have caught up to them. If thats bonkers....................I like it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have a website which ranks one day no.16, the next day no.35 for a popular keyword. And it keeps on switching from one day to another since the last PR update. What should I think about this? Is it ever going to stabilize?
I agree, but I have reason for my statement. Search "New Jersey Web Design' and check out some of the pages that show up within the first 3 pages. Many have 0% reason to even show up. Also, we've been on first page for over a year - i'm not just saying this because our rankings have dropped but rather based on the new results i'm seeing.
Google has only been improving their algorithm. I see no more spammy results now than I did last month.
Uhhh not sure why the mods keep moving threads to irrelevant forums. I don't want a site review, just making a general statement about Google serps the past couple days....
Umm it was about Google more specifically. Doesn't matter anymore though. Just lock this - I wasn't looking for feedback about my specific site. I was looking to talk about Google overall rankings lately for everyone.
I have about 300% increase in traffic from Google in last couple of days and I don't use any special SEO.
I have dropped down from 1st position to 150+ for 'Google Earth Gallery' keywords. (and many more) I think I did something wrong But again, there are plenty of irrelevant results on first position now for it.
That's your opinion and your entitled to it, but that does not mean everyone else feels the same way. My site took a big hit with bigdaddy, but it's since come back and doing very well. Sometimes, patience is the key to success and eliminating the stress from worrying about something over which you have no control.
