    hey guys,
i have seen this on google blog...
they have launched referral program for google check out too.and the program is really good.we get 1$ for each purchase.wow great.......
    Referrals, now with Google Checkout

    .................Texxt From the blog......................

Today we're excited to announce that in addition to AdSense, AdWords, Firefox with Google Toolbar, and Google Pack, you can now refer your users to Google Checkout through AdSense.

Checkout gives your users a faster, safer, and more convenient way to shop online. OK, that sounds great for them, but what do you get out of it? Well, every time you refer a user to Google Checkout, you make a little money. It's a simple process that includes all of three steps:

You place the Checkout referral button on your site.

Someone clicks on the button, signs up as a buyer with Google Checkout using a valid U.S. credit card, and completes a purchase of at least $10 before shipping and tax through Checkout within 90 days. (The current $10 minimum purchase corresponds to our existing $10 promotion for new buyers, so this amount may change in the future.)

    You earn $1.

It's that simple. Please note that Checkout referrals are currently only available for U.S. publishers, and Google Checkout is currently only available for buyers with a U.S. credit card. We hope to make both Checkout and Checkout Referrals available in more countries soon

Well, for your referral to make a purchase, $1 does not seem very attractive at all.

Checkout is a lame duck compared to PayPal - G is desperately trying to raise it like a Phoneix from the ashes by twisting the arms of AdSense publishers. The $1 payment is a joke - you could be left waiting 90 days for it too if your sign-ups are slow spenders.

i wonder how many people would store their credit card numbers with google.it pose a great security risk.i know google is really not that easy to crack, but u never know...
people would like to give their credit card numbers individually for any online buying rather than use google checkout....
anyways have anybody tried out...i am not getting this referral program.it says it is available only for a few publishers!!!!!!!!!

Google Checkout is an online payment processing service provided by Google aimed at simplifying the process of paying for online purchases. Users store their credit card and shipping information in their Google Account, so that they can purchase at participating stores at the click of a button. Google Checkout also offers fraud protection, as well a unified page for tracking purchases and their status. Google Checkout is very limited compared to the PayPal offering. Google Checkout processes payments without storing value, and cannot be used to make payments from person to person.
