    Holy Cow..
Again, those who have money will get ranked easily and those who fairly work with their hands and write unique articles and staff will get knocked out.
    GREAT ! THANKS GOOGLE !!!!!!!! Dumbf*cks...

    Right on for that insight.
I think it's just another way for Google to control the internet and us. Now their trying to force people to get accounts and use certain services that we otherwise wouldn't.

The main problem about this is that companies with large funds will be able to push their way to the top by buying plus ones (+1) and just like there are many people out there who provide services like 1000 facebook likes for a tenner, it will become difficult to guage the real value of a SERP listing if that +1 button is given a lot of weight as a ranking signal.

If this is adapted more strongly into organic search results in the future, then maybe it could seriously help get rid of all the spam out there. It would probably help if a -1 button was added too. But who knows what will happen over the next few years.

I see a bunch of fiverr gigs revolving around this new feature. LOL. Well this will be pretty useful to keep tracks of websites that you like but it is easy for it to become a new way to achieve easier ranking.

    I must repeat, I'm scared...
I don't know how will I compete with the large sites/companies...
Up til now it was (more or less) fair game.

This will weed out all the poor quality content websites. Those Made For AdSense sites will be gone and history. High quality useful sites will be up top.

It will probably become a much more accurate gauge of site quality than Page rank. I see this possibly replacing Pagerank if it takes off.

Right now I am saluting Google, chanting, "Google is #1" by holding my second finger up, and the rest of my fingers folded down:))
Google has finally admitted that they do not have a clue as to how to fairly judge or rank a web page and want to put the responsibility on the public.

Google's Webmaster guidelines tells you exactly what it expects. And if you follow those guidelines, you have nothing to worry about. Basically, just a nice looking site with good information to help people. That's all it wants. The people that have followed those guidelines over the years have never been hurt by any of Google's changes. Those who have tried to "game the system" are the ones who will always end up on the short end of the stick.

Is SEO dead? Heck no. Think about how the search engines work. They only know what they read, period..The bottom line is, just put up a decent website, follow the basic SEO strategy like Keywords in the Title and Description, make sure your first 150 words are focused on the topic of your keywords, bold your keywords in the beginning and end of your page etc etc.

If you really want to have Google scratch their heads, don't ever click on anything in the first 10 or 20 pages. Go way down deep and click a few #1's down there. That will tell Google that their current algorithim ain't worth a hoot:)) By clicking on the first or second pages, you are telling them that they are right...

Good luck everyone, and remember, Google is number one!! (in sign language)

    No it will not...
Do you really think Google will make it that easy for us?
Did you read what the +1 is and how it works?
