As you all know that Google's Instant Search is live. For some of you who don't know what it is, pretty much when you type keywords in the search query, the results automatically show up. When advertising using AdWords, your impressions will be going up like crazy because the results will change causing a decrease in your CTR. Just curious to know if anyone had this problem and knows how to go around it?
I haven't notice any changes yet. I am pretty sure they have come up with some kind of solution to it (like a grace period of a few seconds, during which quick impressions are not going to be taken into consideration. Although I maybe wrong).
Your answer is here: adwords.blogspot.com/2010/09/google-instant-more-innovative-approach.html Below the second image is the following: As a result, Google Instant changes the way we think about impressions. With Google Instant, an impression is counted if a user takes an action to choose a query (for example, presses the Enter key or clicks the Search button), clicks a link on the results page, or stops typing for three or more seconds. It's too early to notice effects on impressions. One day after Instant is not enough. I myself don't expect much changes although one client did have much lower impressions and click rate yesterday but it could be due to other factors and simply coincidence.
Thanx for sharing this blog link with us. I am aware about Google instant and not like it too much with Organic SEO perspective however I have not seen any impact on CTR rate and adwords. Will read the post to know more details. Thanx
there is no any such change in advertising. Instant just shows you the results without pressing Enter.
