Does anyone know if the new Google instant search that went live today affects a PPC ad's impressions numbers.

For instance, if I have a PPC ad running for the keyword "watch", my ad will be displayed when someone is typing in "watching your weight". Does this ad display count as an impression? I would hate to have all of my broad keywords CTR's being skewed due to instant search.

I can see long-tail keywords becoming much more lucrative than these broad keywords if this is the case.:cool

Well, it went live months ago. But an impression is counted only after the searcher clicks the search button or stops typing after 3 seconds. BTW, you don't want to bid on a single word like watch.
