I was just reading an article about the new Google Analytics Asynchronous Tracking code and how you can place it at the top of your page instead of at the end of your page before the "body" tag. Does anyone have any information on why this is beneficial and why or if we should begin to use it? If you have not read the article, click the link below.

After reviewing the Google Webmaster blog and several other trustworthy sites, here is my conclusion about the new analytics code.

    * Faster tracking code load times for your web pages due to improved browser execution
    * Enhanced data collection and accuracy
    * Elimination of tracking errors from dependencies when the JavaScript hasn't fully loaded

I've applied the new code to our JVF Consulting website. It loads and runs just fine. See for yourself www.jvfconsulting.com

something is definitely wrong with google analytics. it went from 10 visits a days to 0. stayed at 0 for a week. and then started at 60 a day.

this kind of statistics doesn't make much sense to me.
