fsmedia, that is hardly an article, it is only a sentence with a screen capture.

This additon to AdSense will be a very useful feature.

    Site Diagnostics

An adsense's new feature that tell you if a page is crawl to display most related Ads. Now the big boy tells you what they see, is it much better than guessing if you site is banned;)?

    Google's explanation of site diagnostics

How to use the site diagnostics feature

Just log in to your adsense account, click the report tab, then click the Site Diagnostics on the right

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I hadn't noticed this before. I just checked and didn't find any errors (knock on wood) so that's good.

Yeah I noticed that yesterday, nice move. You can also use Google Sitemaps to test each of the Google bots on the site.

If I'm not mistaken in Sitemaps you can only check URLs against a robots.txt file, which only tell you if the particular URL is being restricted for a particular Google-bot or not.

Or is that actually what you were saying?

not sure if the result is same as sitemap result. and no body that i know see any error...just wonder if it is working or not:D (if you want you can modify your robot.txt to block some URL, let see if error show up:rolleyes: )

AFAIK adsesne , search engine and sitemap are using seperate bot, so you might see different result in Adsense and sitemap

Sorry  I just realized that this IS what the diagnostic feature in AdSense is about. I thought it was more than that, but it's just checking whether the crawlers encountered errors, just like the Sitemap tool...

Really nice, thanx for the info.

It would've been nice if there was a public tool to check any banned site for Google AdSense. It could be really helpful when we are buying websites.

In Google Sitemaps you can actually check any URL against these Google bots to see if any of them have problems with your site:

    Googlebot
    Googlebot-Mobile
    Googlebot-Image
Mediapartners-Google (crawls pages to determine AdSense content)
Adsbot-Google (crawls pages to measure AdWords landing page quality)

Honestly, I don't know if these are all Google's bots or not. Are they?

Aparently, if you can install AdSense Preview Tool (Linux user here), then you can use it to check if a site/page has been banned.
I read about that somewhere, I believe you would have to see some kind of error message instead of ads while using this tool. Can't remember how this message would look like though.

Normally if AdSense is banned on a particular site and the AdSense code is still in the source of the website, then you see this message in IE or FF where ads are supposed to be displayed:
You are not authorized to view this page

But it wont tell you the reason they are banned.

Yeah thats all of them but I was reading that there are two kinds of the main Google Bot - one that measures fresh content and the other that does a deep crawl. For the life of me I cant find the article that stated this, I was sure it was on SEOchat.

Don't see ads on your first link and see ads on the second.

Did you try setting it to show PSA ads if no other ads can be served? That way hopefully you'll know the ad code is working at least
