New Google add url page

    Who knows what Kenni is on about..

    Getting back to the google discussion, they have the word verification working again.

    Question - Has anyone heard the rumour that submitting using googles add url actuallly HURTS your search engine rank position..

    I have no idea if its true. Surely this is just scare mongering. Does anyone have any thoughts on this. Better still any proof..

    In my opinion you don't need to add your site to any url for Google, it's crawler will find you, faster if you have a link from an indexed site.

    I stupidly posted a link to a site I am still developing in a DP thread about .png support and it was indexed by Google within 48hrs. Oops, but shows the power of a link from DP vs how many weeks to get crawled after submitting an url?

    For the last year I have just linked from my main domain or blog to new sites and they're always indexed within a few days by Google, a week or two by MSN and when Yahoo rubs its eyes about a month later there too lol.
