Well, sure now that you've banned all of the good stuff. J/K.

You may want to look into a robots.txt file or some canonical links/etc. Your index is getting some offbeat dynamic stuff in Google

    ie
    http:// viany.org/ ?ak_action=reject_mobile

Best of luck, check your indexing regularly.

thanks for the headsup. I had made some changes earlier, and I don't see some of the weird stuff anymore. Anyways, thanks again.

And sorry for barring all the good stuff :) I like porn, pills and poker myself, but not spammed all over my directory.

Perfect way to lose pr as quick as lightening, by advertising a "new pr5 directory" its like asking to be punched in the face.

Sorry it does not work that way or at least not that fast, otherwise 50% websites here would be PR0 by now.
It was most likely fake PR5 to start with. Offering free listings on PR5 in exchange for real back links pretty much gave it away..

Sorry, hadn't checked this thread in a while. If you're going to say funny things like "not PR5, try PR0" at least let us all know what service you are using to find that info......

I use http://www.checkpagerank.net as it almost always works, and works correctly. So give that a try, and you will see a PR5, as well as the google PR toolbar which shows PR5.

As for site being cached, if you check google now, http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=site:www.viany.org and http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=info:www.viany.org&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai= you will see that in fact it is cached.

Please try again, and if you could be so kind, let me know what your results are. I assume you would give positive comments just as quickly as you did your negative comments.

Lastly, I don't like being punched in the face, nor is the PR faked. As is usually the case with most directories, this was an expiring domain that I purchased. It was never dropped, and not faked. The previous owners did have some canonical issues, which I have addressed via .htaccess and should be corrected in google in the very near future.

    Thanks.

Its just the way its mentioned i guess New General Web Directory PR5 because its not built up its pr from scratch.

The backlinks will be from where the last owner got them from and are probably going to drop off and eventually the pr will drop.

The bubble burst on the whole, grab a high pr domain and see what you can do with it in the directory biz, unless the intention is to sell the directory.

Theres lots still trying to do it, some quietly doing it, others blatently like yourself, dont listen to me though, people watch the threads.

True, but new PR5 Directory kind of implies that I didn't build it up from scratch, I wasn't misleading anyone on that. I wish I could create instant PR5's, that would make life much easier. I wouldn't say the bubble has burst, though the market is certainly saturated. However in my experience with the directories I've kept longer term, the PR has remained intact, and the income continues to stream in.

Well, the other day it showed PR 0, now its PR 5. Maybe your honest, but lots of (less experience) people can get fooled on here by less-than-honest people. So if it seems weird or something seems off... your gonna hear about it.

Sorry I was wrong. Now that is cached, I see it is not fake PR5 although it was dropped domain.
To bad the original content wasn't kept. All BL are not directly related anymore.
    Anyway, good luck
