Yes, many directories don't send out confirmation mails when a site is submitted or accepted.

I offer a directory submission service and have found that only about 40% of sites do send confirmations.

But how did you make your clients report abt the submission ?

 

I know which directories I submit their sites to. I send them the list ~ along with other details. I don't need a confirmation email for that.
