New Free directory to submit to!

Just submitted mine as well... may want to consider breaking down the Pets directory a bit, though mine would be the first site listed in that category, I'm certain it will grow with time. Looks good. Thanks

Looks like you didn't gain any PR in the update. It would be interesting to track if any of the Directorys announced in the last 3 months got some.

(I realize that visual PR is different than actual etc, but people tend to submit more when PR shows)

I launched my directory, Kwik Goblin around the same time and just got a PR3. Ive seen submissions triple since then. I personally submit to every directory because hopefully they all are doing SEO

Anyone else have thoughts - Do you tend to check the toolbar when submitting?

 

In theory every little counts, therefore submitting to all usually is no mistake, regardless of PR.
Further to the point, you won't get much PR from a directory, especially from a high PR one as this one has so many outbound links that PR transmitted is diluted so much...

So, does it really matter? Only a little bit, for those that are mad for that green line...(usually people at their first steps into SEO) and for those that can't or don't want to submit to any directory, therefore choosing only a few.

 

I don't agree, if an internal page has a high PR and the amount of links on that particular page is limited to ten then that would not be the case.

I think most directory owners would be smart enough to not have 50 links on a page. If PR is your concern then I would look at the actual page you would be on to see what the benefit may be. Of course if its free then who cares but if they are asked for money, its a different story.

 

While adding my sites I've noticed some minor bugs:

1) when you go to category, for example bussines / Real Estate you see:
Index : Bussines : Real Estate

but when you click 'add url' link in this category, 'index' link disappears from path and there is no other link to main index page. It looks like this:
: Bussines : Real Estate

2) when you do a search, there is a category displayed on the right of each search result in which it is added. This link is not working (it points to /index.php?c=<some_id>) and it is just showing main directory page.

 

Just submitted a link to your site. In the "Submission Guideline" text, site is misspelled as sie.
