Thanks for the offline help, AllYearFootball. Everything seems to be working fine, now. I have a question about DirectoryMaster2. Is there a way to remove URL's from the listing once they're entered? I made a mistake when typing one of them and I'd like to delete it from my list. Thanks again.
RatDog, Removing a URL is a feature I probably should have put in, but didn't think of. For now, the easist thing to do is to click the checkbox next to the directory name to mark it as processed, and choose "No" for the option show processed directories, it will disappear from your list. Also, if you could let me know what the link was, I will remove it from the server database, so others dont get it. Thanks, Ken.
Ken, Sorry, I didn't explain myself very well. What I mean is I'd like to be able to remove the entries for my own sites (up on the top far left corner of the screen where it says "Current URL:") Thanks.
I have just uploaded a new version that allows you to remove directories and your own sites, sorry it took so long. In order to install it, you need to remove the current version using add/remove programs, then redownload it from http://www.directorymaster.net (it is still at the link for DirectoryMaster2). This will not delete your existing data. Thanks! P.S. For those of you who have tried it, could you please post any comments/suggestions to improve it?
Okay, the tool is a good ideea IMO, but you should think of keeping it free-like for users, and just embend with some AdSense code into it, or distrubute other type of toolbar content for example.
Considering the potential savings in time and effort for submitting to directories, I think the price he's talking about charging for the program is extremely reasonable.
I received another error, this time when I clicked on Edit Titles. This is the third time I am posting an error. Each time I am told to download the latest version and try again? I have not submitted to a single directory yet.. Eric
Think myspace two years ago - yes google takes this sort of thing into account FOR NEW DOMAINS. Other sites can get away with more.
From what I have experienced, if you are in the google sandbox, and get a large number of backlinks quickly, Google will frown on you and you will not do well. Once you have broken out of the sandbox, then feel free to add as many backlinks as you want without fear. Also, Eric, I sent you a PM about your problems. Finally, remember, the free offer is only open for 4 more days.
If you're using php, look into CURL. I know there is a way to submit forms using CURL to do it. I have experimented with it before.
It seems to be a good software. I have downloaded it and will use it.. more tonight. Will PM you incase for upgrade
