How to get members to new born forum , do you think pay per post is effective way or having unique threads and tutorials that never been posted before in any existed forum or giving prizes like free scripts or free domains for posting in the forum

You must have content and others have considered paid posting. Contests are a great idea.

Running contests and giving away prizes like free scripts or free domains works really well for promotion of a new forum. Just make sure you have enough no. of new threads and posts before starting the contest to get the forum going from thereon.

 

What are the best ways to advertise the contest, so you actually get people to try it out?

I'd imagine that if you only advertise it on your site, people aren't going to spread the word to increase their own odds of winning, no?

 

Paid posting is the best way to get your forums off the ground.
You also need to advertise a lot to bring traffic to your forums.
