Hi, I have a forum a new one I want to know the best ways to market it and advertise it and also anyone who can help me do the above.
Do you promote products through the forum? Cause if you do, you can give commissions to members. Like when a member invites someone, and that someone becomes a member and purchases something, the first member gets a commission? That might be a nice incentive for people to start promoting your forum If not I hope someone else will have a better idea for you greetz, jobic
So you've got categories like in here as well? That means you can make products for each category. Take this site for example, they could have a few Ebooks about SEO, affiliate marketing, web design, copywriting and ppc techniques just to name a few. Even if you just sell a few, you'd be getting extra revenue and your members are earning commissions by doing what they'd normally do Is your forum business oriented or is it information about something else?
Forums are hard to run because there is so much competition. You need to advertise in other forums with related niches (if allowed). Purchase good links on related websites that advertises your site in a favorable manner. You will need to most likely hire some paid poster to help fill the forum. No matter how much you advertise, an empty forum will get you no members. It takes lots of time, money, and patience to maintain and build a forum. Most people quit because of failure, lack of members, boredom or time constraints. If you have the time and patience, a forum can be very profitable but it is not an overnight get rich project.
