    Hello!

    I just opened a forum (V bullettin)
but i have a problem... nobody posts on it!

even if i get some traffic on my site, they probably don't post on my forum because they see only a 2-3 posts.

can you help me in this?

should i ask my friends to post some messages or there is a community that can make this job for me?

    thank you

Well getting your friends to start posting is always a good idea, I also have a forum which you can request Posting Packages (once you get the required amount of forum cash and posts, which takes 2 minutes) and you can request a package to get some posts on your forum, you may also try our Exchange Services forum which you may exchange posts, topics, twitter follows, etc. with other users to get the boost you may be looking for. The forum also has other great, useful tools which you can view which will help you with your forum. The index is http://promotion-source.com, you could probably learn quite a few things :) We also provide 100% free advertising.

Along with that I would suggest getting a nice SERP as organic traffic from Google, bing etc. is always good too.

Anyways good luck with your forum and remember posts and topics are always a start to your forum's success!

if people are seeing 2-3 posts that means you are not active there. before anybody else you have to be the most active one. give a reason for people to join and be active.

You need to generate new content regularly. Create interesting discussion topics that you know will generate a lot of replies. Get some friends to join and help you out. If that doesn't work then you should consider hiring paid posters.

Get a company to post a few threads on your forums to break the ice for discussion.

You should have started with phpbb-seo is free and SEO friendly...

Make videos related to your niche and post the link to your site.. that the first start.. Don't spam other forum.. and it should be a matter of time....

Close your forums and move on. I am tired of seeing complete amatuers thinking that buying a VB license will suddenly kick start a successful forum.

2-3 posts...you should be ashamed of yourself.

Get a free blog at wordpress or blogger.com and start creating quality content.

That's not exactly the best thing to tell someone. Instead of just saying "Close the forum" because YOUR tired of seeing such people do stuff, no one really cares. The question asked wasn't about you, it was about how to kick start his forum.

you can use a company offering that kind of posting service, but also you can find some freelancers in DP, under service or content creation section...

well try to get your close friends on the forum frist.. the people whom you know and who can help you out with your project.
you should have added the material and content before starting the forum.. anyways..
make threads or discussions which are encouraging for new members to post replies

    Quoted for truth.

I'm the single most frequent poster on any forum I run early on. :)

Not everyone is ready to run a successful forum. If even the basics are difficult then how will he do well? There are countless threads here about kickstarting activity.

I believe my advice is the most reasonable in this thread. Who are you to say it's not?

This question alone makes me want to puke. It's like a giant DUH is screaming in my head. Hmm...let me see. I have this new forum and no one is posting? So...do I ask my friends to post some messages? OF COURSE YOU DO.

I can give advice all day long but I can't make stupid people smart.

Just remember, your hard work will pay off. So the more work you put into a site, the more reward you will get. Good Luck. Starting a new forum is very hard.
