MoonShadows Farm Country Favorites "Good Eats & Treats from the Pocono Mountains" Make 15% commissions when your family, friends, business associates, and customers purchase our fine products through your affiliate link. From our home to yours comes an outstanding line of homemade country products. We specialize in bringing to your table a marvelous bounty made from the finest ingredients. Prepared in small batches and stirred by hand in open kettles, our country edibles have been delighting our customers for many years. We think you'll agree, they taste just like Grandma's did when you were a kid. We offer jellies, jams, fruit syrups, fruit butters, salsas, bbq sauces, pickles and country crafts. While most well-known brand name affiliate programs offer their affiliates single digit commissions on their sales, we reward our affiliates with one of the highest commission scales in the online food industry. You receive a generous 15% commission on every sale originating from your unique affiliate link! And, instead of spreading your commission scale over 2, 3 or 4 tiers, we give you the full 15% commission on your own personal sales, thus eliminating the frustration associated with recruiting and trying to motivate downline affiliate partners to increase your commission. We believe your total commissions should not have to depend on others' performances. The amount of your monthly check rests on your work. The more you promote, the more you make. Do I understand there is only one affiliate link? No linking to individual categories or products? or (wishful thinking) datafeed? What creatives are available? Can your site images be used?
Hi jazzylee, You can link to the site, category pages, and product pages. There is no data feed, and there are 4 banners available: 125x125, 125x240, 234x60 and 468x60 - they all are encoded to bring the viewer to the main site, but you can "adjust" the coding to bring the viewer to a category or product page. All is explained in the affiliate back office. You can also use site images. Jim
Dear Jim, We too just started an affiliate program selling a wide range of food also. Just wondering how many affiliates you now have and what was the techniques you used to get them ? btw our program is located at http://dining-downunder.com/idevaffiliate/
Jim, You should really do something with pictures on your site front page, total page over 700k!!!! It takes way to much time to load.
Hi Chefben, After the first few days it quieted down. We have about 65 affiliates now. The techniques were my signature on forums and we took an ad on http://www.affiliateguide.com/. Even with 65 affiliates, only a couple are really performing. Those are the ones that devote a portion of their site to pre-selling....not just slapping up a banner and hoping for the best. I now have a forum in the "Work at Home" Forum for my affiliates, but the participation is low. I offer my affiliates a number of help ideas and personal help, but it seems most are just interested in putting banners on their site...which just get lost with all the other banners. I think most affiliates think "the more the merrier", rather than correctly promoting a few lucrative affiliate programs. (I guess that's why so few affiliates for any program ever make any real money.) Most of my sales have come from my own effort and my "shop" at a local flea market...many of my visitors have become online customers as well. http://www.moonshadowsfarm.com/categories.asp?cID=181 Jim
Hi Kalev, I have heard similar complaints, but over 95% came from those who still have dial-up connections. Most webmasters now a days are leaving "dial ups" behind since they are using old technology in favor of graphically rich home pages. What kind of connection do you use? Jim
I'm using DSL connection, and I just wanted to give you a friendly suggestion. Even witn my 512kb connection your site is very slow compared to most of the sites on the net.
Hi Kalev, Thanks for the feedback. I'm surprised with a DSL line it is loading slowly. I am planning some changes to my website during the summer months. I will speak to my webmaster then about cutting down on the size of what I decide to put on the home page then. Jim
Jim, Your site is slow on high speed adsl for me too. anyways... great idea and I'll check out the sites you recommend. whats the average sale? Cheers Benjamin
Hi, One of my older higher ranked sites (which I won't mention, not here to promote myself), is being redesigned and now has a category for homemade products and I need content for that. I noticed Moonshadows and thought I would give it a try. I then spent 30 minutes on the site and in the search engines trying to find a link to the affiliate program. To no avail. I could not find a link anywhere to you're affiliate program. The links here, as well as in the affiliate programs directories, go to the home page and if there is a link today to the affiliate program, I sure would like to know where? Seems like it would be difficult to get affiliates this way? Perhaps if you could place a link to the affiliate sign up page on the home page? Not finding it leads one to believe it no longer exists.
