http://www.google.com/#hl=en&source=hp&q=value+my+car&gl=us The last result on the page samarins.com has a new link saying "Jump to • What is the value of my car?‎:" The Jump to feature detects if there is a # in the url and if so anchors to the section in question from the link. I like that, nice feature.
Yah, I've seen them around. Just more site links, but to a section of the page if it is anchored. How to get them? Look at what they are doing and do the same. Bompa
Is it a way to get a backlink on google ? Not sure how it works... Any help will be highly appreciated.
I'm not a pro, but if you write a really, really long post and use those anchor things - I'm pretty sure you'll get those "sitelinks". No. You do not get a backlink from Google by doing this. By getting a backlink from Google - you'd be getting a PR 8, 9 or 10 backlink.
This is a nice new feature. Instead of reading the introduction of my copy, searchers can skip directly to the sales part.
I noticed that a few weeks ago and thought to blog about that. Yes, you are right. It detects the # in the URL to navigate to that portion and index it that way.
It's quite old feature, been around since a couple of months.. even though it's very helpful and already showing on my FAQ page that links to #section's on the same page
I always noticed the site links and i always wondered how and based on what google list the site links under SERP for specific website. It's like a clear invitation to browse the website.
I haven't seen this feature before, quite interesting but like someone pointed out earlier how do you obtain it
