    Hey there,

I read that Facebook is planning the launch of a new search engine - they already granted a patent for it in february called "Visual tags fo search results generated from social network information."
It combines search results for a user with how others connected to the user in a social network responded to the search results.
If most of the users clicked on some of the results, the user could see these links with indications of their relative popularity.

I think it could be interesting to launch a search engine that is based on user click behaviour in social networks. They collect lots of information from their users, maybe they could develop really specific search results....?

what do you think about it? could they struggle Google with it?

Nope, I don't believe this is something Facebook are doing. Google and Bing are continuouly adapting their algorithms to incorporate sociall media results into their SERPs, but Facebook themselves will not be releasing a search engine that will look like or challenge Google in any way in the near future.
