New Facebook Page & Facebook Advertising - Important Updates

    Hey Guys,

I have several pages, some range from just 100's to 100k fans. I noticed a sharp decline on reach to the fans in the past week, statistics are suggesting that fans are not seeing our posts. After investigating I came accross Facebooks new post filtering system for pages. FB has introduced a new filtration system that limits your reach to 15% of your FB fans - when you post - this used to be %100 of your fans reached per post (those that hadn't manually blocked your page). if you wish to message/update all of your fans it's going to cost you now.

The costs are about $1 per 1000 fans reached.
If you have a page with 5k friends - it costs $5 minimum to reach 5k of your fans.
If you have a large page with 100k fans - it costs $100 to reach the majority of your fans.

This is not bull shit... this is FB's new commercial strategy.

Facebook has now bullied us out of the game, we promote Facebook on all of our pages, we support the like button, Facebook comments on our sites, we send a shit load of traffic to Facebook & we spend a lot of time working on FB pages - just to be shit on by FB... I will be replacing "Like" buttons & all FB "apps" from my sites very shortly.

Agree. I've noticed this same thing. Very disappointing. I do FB work for a company with 20K fans and we can't reach them all without spending $200 PER POST. FB is going to lose its members quickly like this, but we need to help make people aware. I'm checking out Google+ as a new social network, though I'm not really fond of it.

It is disappointing but you can beat FB at their game by inspiring your FANS to engage with you. Pages(posts) with more engagement will show up more in your fans news feed!

Thanks for the information shared by you. I did not know, facebook brought into place all these changes. I think they are getting greedy. All the best.

Well, Facebook wants to increase the flow of income and also they want to filter fake accounts. Mark Zuckerberg will do anything to make people stay on FB as long as possible (his mission is to make people stay on FB forever).

Buying the ad's is worth it, if you can afford it... sucks for people who have a page as a hobby & are not serious. here's my best example of late:

    Paid FB Ads.png

    754 Post likes.
    80 page likes.

That's not bad for $10, beats paying bots & fake sellers. But - these should be free, like it used to be.

Yeah, but, there's also 754 post likes, that's a shit load better than the fakes people here will try to sell you.
