Just wanted to get some feedback on my new(er) search engine. What I mean by 'new(er)' is that it is constantly being updated and while it is a recent search engine it is not brand new, but more an updated search engine.

Would love any feedback - thanks in advance!

Basically, a search engine is a software program that searches for sites based on the words that you designate as search terms. Search engines look through their own databases of information in order to find what it is that you are looking for.

Please note: search engines are not simple. They include incredibly detailed processes and methodologies, and are updated all the time. This is a bare bones look at how search engines work to retrieve your search results. All search engines go by this basic process when conducting search processes, but because there are differences in search engines, there are bound to be different results depending on which engine you use.

    1. The searcher types a query into a search engine.
    2. Search engine software quickly sorts through literally millions of pages in its database to find matches to this query.
    3. The search engine's results are ranked in order of relevancy.

    Good Luck.......

Spidersearch is good but I prefer to use the Google or yahoo for all the time.

The indexer is coming, but for now it is a combination of Bing and Google with directory listings mixed in (that is about as close to an index as I have right now)

Good engine! But if I were you I would remove that spider image from the logo. Just the word "spider" alone can evoke unpleasant memories with kids and some women (and men!). But what you want is all types of visitors who would feel good about visiting your engine over and over again.

Job search engine monster.com used to have this big, ugly monster on their site. It's gone now. I am glad they removed it. But it speaks volumes as far as why they finally did it.

No, I have to use outsourced programmers as I am not as advanced as they are.

You definitely have a good point...:)

It's a good little SE, but surely a .com would've been better, I do like the thumbnails next to the results.

You are correct, but I could not find much in the way of good .com domains easily available. It seems like everything .com has to be 3 words or more now.
