...Patriots! I'm happy I missed my flight as I could watch the game! Did you (American and Euro and other NFL lovers?)? Or doing things with your websites? Any Steelers around?
You will have to tell us more of the story for those who do not follow football, like who is in the playoffs and why you like what team?
Are you saying that you know nothing about NFL and the SuperBowl? I'm for the patriots simply because they are based in Boston and the most prominent team in New England, and also because my girlfriend is from Boston (which in theory is not a good reason,but...)
Don't take anything for granted around this crowd , and not all of us are American. I used to watch football, but quit several years ago because it never really appealed to me. Different tastes I guess. When I watched I remember Dallas and SF kicking ass. Who is good these days?
New England Patriots are THE team in the last few years, and although they were beaten, the Pittsburgh Steelers are a very good team also, nevertheless... Philadelphia Eagles are in the final game facing the favourites, the Pats. We'll see in 2 weeks time. Anyway, as I'm originally from Europe, I'm much more into soccer as it's called in America. And I miss it when I'm here! Can't wait to get back and play!
While I'm not a huge NFL fan, every team I was cheering for in the playoffs got knocked out right away... I guess I'll cheer for New England in two weeks' time.
You have to drink beer when you watch football, soccer or whatever it is you call it these days... And thats about the best thing I can say about watching sports as oposed to doing them. Just my 2 cents. Sry if I offended the wild crowd og hooligans in here and everywhere
Now that's something I can't do, I love beer but when I'm watching a game I like to be sober, wherever it is. Everybody should behave that way! Thus enjoying the game and not getting into some trouble...
I'm a green bay fan and since they have been out I quit paying attention to the NFL. I will watch the super bowl but I will be cheering for the Eagles as I have to cheer for the underdog.
Football without beer, is like erm...anthony without his red rep. It...just...uhhh....belongs....together. Although im english and grew up in a pub. so i might be a little biased
I understand you in full, you have to drink in a pub, but you don't have to at home, maybe alone, or even if you're at the stadium, or at least not too much. There's been a case in tv recently where a beer company in the US has to pay something in excess of 100 million dollars to a family after this unlucky person was hit by a car driven buy a drunk fan coming from a game. The reason for the ruling being that beer was served to the drinker although obviously drunk. I'm sorry to have to bring up such a sad subject, the person injured is a young girl that has permanent brain damage, but sometimes it's worth it. I love drinking, wine rather than beer or spirits, but I try to keep it reasonable. (I just had some WA state shiraz...)
Okay...Point taken, dude. Yeah, i try to keep it reasonable too. I always like to be in control of myself. Everything in moderation ect. Saying that, last night is a blur.Who's that next to me? How did i get home? Where are my clothes? HUH?
