New Dp Forum Ranks?

I would like to know the new ranks in DP because when I logged in for the first time today I saw my rank was changed to peon and after posting it has turned in to member, as I can see some other members has ranked as "member", "active member", "greenhorn" on their profiles, I found a old thread with old DP ranks in this thread: https://forums.digitalpoint.com/threads/forum-ranks.2536170/

so my question is what are the new ranks?

 

For the moment at least there appears to be only 2 ranks that members are concerned with, namely "established members" and "non established members".
Seeing as you belong to the ranks of the former, I'd get busy making some quality posts and not asking questions like that.

 

I love how you put banned at the end, as if to imply once you reach 20k posts you'll get banned. Although for most members, I am sure by that stage they'll have been banned at least once

 

Yes you're correct from that point of view and that's what DP expect by changing some old methods (to make DP a better and useful place filled with quality posts) but for informational purpose and for beginners and for all who interested about them would like to know the new DP ranks!

 

Somehow I went from Peon last night, to active member today. I am not adjusting well to these changes though and am a little bitter, so I'm going to keep my response short. Best of luck to you.

 

Here are my suggestions for new ranks:
Negative whiners(those who don't like the new changes)
Positive optomists(those that do like the new changes)
Overlord of everyone(you)

 

Thanks for the answer Shawn It's good to know that the new ranks are based on trophy points and as I think it's better than the old post count based rankings.

 

I'm actually here wondering what Greenhorn means, because I think I came from Peon to that.

Peon - Unskilled farm worker.
Greenhorn - A person who is new to or inexperienced at a particular activity.

I think I actually like peon better.

 

The term "greenhorn" comes from the fact that ungulates(deer,caribou,elk,moose,etc.) have green on their antlers when they grow back.(they fall off every year and regrow). This green is due to a feltlike membrane that covers the antlers.
Eventually as the antler grows the green falls off. So.....grow greenhorn, and soon your antlers won't be green anymore and you will be a *member*.

 

You know, that's actually a pretty unINTERESTING piece of trivia , lol! So basically I'm a herbivore with green antlers at the moment huh. omg, who comes up with this?! (jk )

It took only six years for me to become a peon. Cannot wait to see what the next six years will bring.
