I bought a new domain few days ago and submitted it to Google,Yahoo,MSN,etc.

Now, how long it's going to take for my domain to appear in search results?

Yahoo says 2-4 weeks, what about Google,MSN?

There's almost no point in submitting to search engines nowadays.. they will eventually get around to you, but there are better and quicker ways.

What you need to do is get a link from some site that's getting spidered regularly, the search engines will see your link and visit.

The easiest thing to do is post something on a social site like digg or technorati. Or start a blog and put a link in a post. Or respond to a blog post with your link, or post a link in a forum, Better still do all of them!

I'm sure you'll get indexed soon; they're pretty good at finding sites usually. But even though you're indexed it will still take some work and patience in order to have good rankings.... hence, the "Sandbox".

From what I understand, Google indexes you pretty fast after you submit your site. They then store the information until they can get to adding it in the search engine results.

If you have not got another site/blog then you could make a lens on squidoo linking to your site.

No one can say exact about Google.
But generally it would take time to 2 to 4 weeks.

Can anyone tell me... my new domain was indexed by google, but it doesn't appear in search results for my keyword. Does it mean it is sandboxed?

Depends on how many backlinks you have, I typically get my new sites indexed within 4 days in the major 3 search engines.
