Seems everytime I buy a new domain and set-up a new website I have this problem. I brought this domain a few months ago, and then brought the hosting package on Thursday. I redirected the nameservers to the relevant NS provided to me by the host - also done on Thursday. I can access the site from every Internet connection, however I can't access the site from my own web connection...I simply recieve a 'page not found' error. I am able access the site via proxy though. I have reset my router, this has had no effect. My PC has two operating systems on it - and I have the same problem no matter which OS I use. The web-site is: www.brainwave-sync.com - I have no doubt everyone will be able to see it ok. I have done a tracert on the domain name and get the following info: I also get the same problem if I try and access the site via its IP address. Any suggestions and help would be really welcome!!
try clearing your cache. Add the site to your trusted zone. What browsers have you tried using? Have you contacted the host to add your IP as well? (if yours is static)
Thanks for the reply. Will try the trusted zone thing. I have IE, Firefox and Opera, it works in non of them. I have tried it under XP and Vista (on the same PC) and have the same result. I am not sure what to do about the IP address and the host. What do you mean exactly?
Your IP has probably been blacklisted by your data center / web host. Ask them to check, because if you can access via proxy, it could indeed back-up my thought. Although, it could be a load of different things.
