New directory?

    Hello,
I am thinking of using a subdomain for a new sports directory, ie. sportsdir.********.com, or using a subdirectory like www.******.com/sportsdir

Is this going to cause any problems with setup, running, seo or anything?

    Thanks

    Late

Subdomain Absolutely. Search engines treat as a seperate domain and if you can depending on your host you should get a seperate class IP address as well.

I'd personally favour a subdomain on an established site ... looks neat !

I think you should go for a subdomain if you are looking for better SEO. I think they treat it as a separate domain.
