I'm pretty sure I havent yet officially announced this here yet:
    http://www.directorysource.info

Started as a helpful list for myself - but it's creating quite a buzz about itself.... Comments are encouraged.... :)

Yes, a very useful site - and I hadn't found a couple of the directories before even though I've been looking hard. Thank you.

I wonder though about some of these directories - you know the type that go from a main page of PR 6-8 down to PR0 the first category you click on.

Is it worth paying $50 to Bluefind, etc, for a listing that isn't cached by Google?

I wonder about that too.....so I don't submit to any paid directories.
Note that Yahoo is now $299.00 per year....it is not a once off fee any more.

Just been doing a bit of reading through older threads and I see that smindsrt has shown that items are cached by Bluefind:

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=8282

It's very strange. If you go into Bluefind and check Google's cache of any category, you'll find none of the categories are cached.

But if you do a search of

    site:www.bluefind.com <category name>

It seems that something is in Google's cache.

Does anyone know how this apparent discrepancy could happen?

Bluefind is a touchy subject right now....

Only a few months ago, it was just about THE most powerful directory online....

I suspect they took a direct hit by Google, but I feel confident that this is only temporary.....

It has a tremendouse amount of backlinks and good traffic....
