New directory...new approach

Hi guys

I've been an active member on these forums for a little while now, and must say as an avid forum poster, this has to be one of the most useful and infomative websites out there.The directory section is very useful, and as such I'm having a go at building my own directory.

I've realised recently that unique content is very important. I'd therefore like to run an experiment. My new directory Search Chef is empty of directories, bar a couple of my own for testing. Therefore, can I ask you reply below with requests for the categories you want.

As long as they are legal and follow the usual ethical guidelines, I'll add them and let you know. Links will be totally free for DP members, although reciprocal would be very much appreciated. I do intend, once the content is there, to promote this heavily through the usual means.

May i suggest the category: Ringtones or Cellular/Mobile content, either would be appreciated.

Make some more broad categories on the homepage. You can take some ideas from www.upyg.com (Using the same script).

I would consider changing the ad format from a skyscraper to a leaderboard, or modifying how the ad is displayed.

The current format on your category pages places the directory listings below your AdSense ad and leaves a large area of white space to the right of the ads.

Perhaps change what you've got a bit.

Computers & Internet are often among the largest categories and from a sheer management issue, I would suggest they should be moved to the top level and out from under technology.

That said, please add 2 categories:

Computers & Internet > Article & Content Providers
Computers & Internet > Tutorials & Guides
